The 2012 Round Table Ball at Alexander Park in Ledbury, Herefordshire was the culmination of nearly 12 months hard work by the Hereford Club.
On a balmy Saturday evening over 200 guests were treated to Champagne on the beautiful lawns before sitting down to feast of food and entertainment around the theme of “all the fun of the fair”.
“We have raised an outstanding £12,000 for local charitable causes which was made possible through the generosity of our invited guests and local businesses who donated an array of auction prizes” commented Jason Hicks, Chairman of Hereford City Round Table.
Just before the evening started we were able to invite members of “Days out with Dad” a local group who we have supported recently, to join us to have a hour on the fair ground rides and side shows free of charge.
Days out with Dad are a voluntary organisation, made up of South Herefordshire dads with a few good ideas about things to do with our children. These include farmers, builders, surveyors, fitness instructors, company directors, carpenters, antique dealers, accountants, policemen, paramedics, teachers, conservationists, computer chip designers, postmen, printers and musicians.
“The atmosphere throughout the evening was electric and Round Table members and our guests danced well into the early hours of Sunday morning. The success of the evening was in no small part down to the hard work of the fantastic group of Round Table members in the Hereford Club who worked tirelessly to ensure everyone had an evening to remember.” Jason continued to say.
