The city’s skyline was lit up by the most spectacular Bonfire Night fireworks display yet courtesy of the bright sparks at Hereford Round Table.
The Tablers have had plenty of practice staging this popular event – it’s 41 years since they first lit the blue touchpaper and each year the spectacle has got bigger and better, as well as raising close on a £million for local charities – £8000 of which was collected from Saturday’s display.
This year’s chairman Jamie Crawford described the event, at Hereford Racecourse, as ‘breathtaking.’
“I think we should give a big shout out to community of Herefordshire for their continued support of this fantastic event.
“Without them Round Table’s contribution to good causes across the county would be significantly reduced. We are so very grateful to the people of Hereford for their ongoing support. Long may it continue.”
As well as the fireworks display visitors to the event also enjoyed fairground rides and other attractions.
“The Round Table fireworks were absolutely amazing this year. So much colour. We really enjoyed,” said Annjanette Cecchetto, and Nick Bolt described them as “the best fireworks I’ve ever seen.”
Lara Conod added: “Amazing fireworks – it was a wonderful evening.”
The input of Herefordshire businesses helped make the event such a success as they supported the dedicated Round Tablers who all hail from the county.
